Lost Pet Report

PMHS-CV diligently works towards reuniting lost animals with their owners. The details you provide will be utilized to compare and identify strays against our database of lost pets.

If your pet is missing, kindly complete our lost pets contact form. Alongside informing our shelter, we suggest exploring additional steps and resources to enhance your efforts in locating your beloved companion. Wishing you the best of luck and a quick reunion.

Is your dog or cat having unplanned litters?

We can help! Through our Mother Spay Program, we can assist you with the litter and get mom spayed!

If your female dog or cat is expecting or just had babies, we can help. Once the litter is weaned, we will spay the mother at no cost to you and find homes for all the little ones if you admit them to our Adoption Program. Mom will stay with you, her spay surgery taken care of! By spaying mom, you ensure no more unwanted litters and you improve your pet’s quality of life and health.

By surrendering the kittens or puppies to PMHS for adoption, you remove the stress of trying to find home for them yourself. Like all pets in our Adoption Program, they will be spayed/neutered, receive veterinary care, vaccinations and preventatives. ALL of this is at no cost to you.

Thank you to Lyman Pope Jr.

Lyman Pope, a lifelong animal lover, has left an indelible mark on shelters across New England. His significant donations spearheaded the construction of four shelters in Thomaston, ME; Orleans, VT; Concord, NH; and Dover, NH, all bearing his name. Pope Memorial Humane Society in Dover, NH, formerly Cocheco Valley Humane Society, faced fundraising challenges for a new facility. In 2017, Lyman Pope’s $1 million donation surpassed the goal, enabling the dream of a new building.

Recently, Mr. Pope donated to Pope Memorial Humane Society in Dover again, funding an expansion for a 5,250-square-foot play area, including a roofed outdoor pavilion for training sessions and adoptee meet-and-greets.

Thank you to our partners from Kent Nutrition Group

Thank you to World’s Best Cat Litter for their invaluable support through the Give Litter program and to Rochester Blue Seal for generously providing all our animals with dry food. Thanks to World’s Best, the Give Litter program has contributed over 6000 lbs. of litter since June, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our furry friends. Likewise, Rochester Blue Seal’s remarkable donation of over 2500 lbs. of dog food, 600 lbs. of cat food, not to mention provisions for rabbits and guinea pigs, has been instrumental in sustaining the health of our diverse animal community. Their generous support has made a significant impact on our ability to care for these animals, and we are truly grateful.
